Tasman Slate Seal Solvent has been specifically formulated to remove acrylic sealers. Slate Solvent is a ready to use product which contains a powerful blend of solvents and emulsifiers.
For effective performance, a liberal coat of Slate Solvent should be applied to the surface to be stripped using a paint brush. The reaction time varies between 10 and 20 minutes
depending on the type and number of coats of sealer to be removed.
Directions for use:
In order to determine whether slate solvent will completely remove the sealer from your floor a test area of one or two tiles should be attempted before stripping your entire floor.
Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves
Work in areas of two square metres at a time.
Apply slate solvent to the area to be stripped with a paintbrush so an even coating is on the tile. Allow to stand for 15-20 minutes so slate solvent may penetrate the surface and soften the coating.
Scrub with a stiff brush and wipe the treated area clean using a cloth.
Repeat steps if any residue remains.
